just ordered lift..now what tires?

Just ordered front 0-3.5" bilstein coilovers, chromoly uca's, diff drop and rear 3" springs, now I gotta figure out what size tires to run. Thinking 33/12.50ish but not sure. Anybody else running this? What size tires are you using?

 

Return the diff drop, it is crap and doesn't help anything at all. Run the 33's just like about 500000000000000000 members are doing the same.

 

You're going to get a ton of different answers on tires.

 

So a 33/12.50 size tire will clear more or less? On factory rims? Or do I need to get some something with different spacing? Diff drop doesn't cost enough to worry with canceling. You dont think it helps with your cv angles? Why not?

 

Yeah I dont need brand/style opinions just what will and won't clear.

 

If you want to run a tire that wide im guessing you need different wheels.

 

depends how high you go on the coilovers. 285's are most commonly run with under a 6" setup

 

3" on the coilovers...unless I need that other.5.

 

Any oddball stuff that I'm going to need to do? extend abs wires? brake lines for the front?

 

You aren't changing any amount of travel in the suspension for the front, no need to worry about brake lines. Possibly in the rear you will, but doubt it.

As far as the diff drop, it just rotates the diff thus not dropping it at all really and making it sit lower to the ground. You got a lift, why ruin it by lowering the components you are lifting? Makes no sense.

 

Anybody running a 305/70r16? It comes out to 32.8x12. If so what backspacing? Any issues with it?

 

Would I come out better using a 17" rim or stay with a 16? I'm thinking 8-9" wide with 4-4.25 bs that should clear everything shouldnt it? I have been searching but cant seem to find the information im looking for. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

 

Go with a 16" rim, tires tend to be cheaper at that size.
