I have done many a 1,000 mile day on a twin cylinder air cooled motorcycle without a windshield. A full face helmet and good riding gear really helps however.

You wont be disappointed. If you're looking to get a new one this is the last year MoCo is making it. But you can find used ones all day long because of the stigma that a sportster is a chicks bike. I welcome any BTs to try and keep up in the turns :D

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I want a Hog, going to start out small though when I do, so Sportster would be best for me.

Im looking at getting a 2001 sportster, and hualing it was the biggest ? Now Im all for riding that thing everywhere but I work on the road and need to carry more stuff along than the bike would carry. I work down south around lakes and durring the good weather seasons I would want to take the bike with me. The bike is over 7' and there is my problem, it would hang past the tailgate a few inches so i was looking at a piece of channel to put in the bed so with a front wheel chuk mounted to the front and the bike would be soppurted but hearing how the tailgates are, Is getting a trailor my only option?

I posted this under the mc photo thread but I think it fits better here.
77 sportster with 18 over Jammer front end and velvet ride frame.
I've run it for almost 20 years now. Only a couple more months till Laconia.
2003 Tacoma with no mods except the 100 dollar cap.
