yea i agree with that. i had mine on a ford f150 and they were wearing quick but it was a much heavier truck. on a taco i think u can get at least 10k extra miles or so.

You are definitely going to need to cut the lip on the flares at the bottom, that's where mine rubbed the most when just daily driving. A new razor blade cuts well and leaves clean cuts I still need to cut the corner of the actual fender, I hit that on heavy bumps still.

My body mount was chopped from the get go, so I can't comment on how bad you will rub the mount while daily driving...

    HEY TacoRidinHigh...or anyone else......

So - I have the basic Fabtech 6" with REAR Dirt Logics and my front shocks are stock yellow Bilsteins.

What I wanted to know is - if I bought some Bilstein 5100's for the front and cranked them up 2" would that work? Are my rear Dirt Logics adjustable to crank up 2"...I can't remember??

Or am I going to have to buy more shit to get a couple more inches of lift....???..... and instead just start cutting shit? I wanted to stay away from cab mount chop.....but...??

Here's where i saw i was rubbin this morning:

Rear shocks don't provide lift, the springs do that. And yes you can run 5100 on the front

Should be easy with a Pro Comp stage 1.....just swap out the coils & add 5100's...right? But then it would be like the guys with the regular 3" 5100 lifts....CV's would be at more of an angle.

6in Pro Comp stage 2 lift, 2.75in ProComp Coilovers, Rear MX6 adjustable shocks, 35in Nittro Trail Grapplers, 17 in XD Spys, URD intake, URD MAF Calibrator, Flowmaster 40 Series, AMP Power steps, debadged, blacked out tail lights, Blacked out headlights w/ Mini H1 Retros and halos, JVC KW-AVX840 7" Double-Din, Viper 5704 2way alarm/remote start, LEDs in Dome, Maps, and license plate lights, short black antenna, 5% Tint, removed sway bar
or get some adjustable Icons for up front and some bigger leafs in the rear. That would get you up to 2 more in in the front and get rid of the blocks in the rear

I'm trying to stay under a certain amount of money....just got taxes but ALOT of it went to pay off baby..LOL (the rest of my 3 month olds hospital bill) .. then bought my tires for $950.

I gotta do something..I just went out and got crazy with it and got it all cockeyed and i'm hitting cab mount :(

IF...i go up another 2 to 2.5 inches....will I still hit cab mount?? If so then fuck it...save money and chop chop chop..(in best chinese accent)

I can buy the 5100's right now....leafs are gonna be??? $600-$800?

I would need a custom 6" pack or 8" pack???

    F
    U
    C
    K
    me!!

I'm going nuts wanting to finger this out. If I need to raise it and do leafs then i will wait it out - cut some plastic and save for springs. I still havent checked around here to see if I can get some springs put together by locals.

    Any suggestions?

I think with drop bracket lifts it keeps most angles like stock....adding 5100's and going up 2' on em will prob make it a bit worse for cv's

    ^ This.

Super easy to do, just use a razor blade and cut the overfender and inner plastic liner like in this picture. I'd take pictures for you of mine but I'm currently overseas. You can cut a little more neatly then was done in this pic. I cut up to the first hole using that contour as the shape of my cut going down the fender. If you can understand what I'm saying.

. It will solve 99% of the rubbing you will get daily driving, parking lots, reversing etc. More cutting will be required for off roading etc.
