If the auto transmission does not allow us to start at a low enough rpm for this specific test, then will get another dyno done on my engine, once I finish up doing some cam work to it.

    As plan B:
Mine will be in N/A trim. Before, and After dyno pulls. In 4th gear because that will be my new gear for a 1:1 ratio. :D

5th is a 1:1 ratio...Not 4th, unless you are putting in a new tranny, with different ratios.

Correct you are. Thus why I said, "will be my new gear."

I am installing my T56 this week. Its 1:1 is 4th gear.

Correct. Plus you would need to find the proper length belt.

The main thing this spacer does is increase intake port velocity. And as someone said before it doesn't technically increase top end power, more so mid range to low end. Just as an example look at the stock intake for a 6.2l in a Chevy truck and then the intake used in the Camaro 6.2l the truck one is taller. Also at lower rpm the intake valve is open for a longer period of time then at higher rpms that's where higher velocity come into play giving the higher speed air more time to move into the combustion chamber( also another reason there is variable valve timing). Where at higher rpm a bigger port would be more of an advantage. Just a little bit of theory on engine head properties.

OP as I'm sure you have figured out that we here on TW like to pick/pull ideas apart in order to praise or slander (usually w/o negative attitude). That being said when you run the dyno tests for this part be as thorough as possible and leave no room for debate. We're not here to put companies under, but we are not here to confide in falsified results. This is not me questioning your mechanical knowledge, experience, or integrity. Simply a fair statement of advice that if you want this thing to sell every little detail needs to be covered. Good luck with testing

how would this idea be different than a throttle body spacer?

OP, personally, I'm glad you stuck around and are going through the testing rather than getting pissed and leaving us hanging. If you can show that this works, I think you have a good client base that would give this a shot.

Read back a few pages, a throttle body spacer won't work because there's a valve right behind it limiting flow anyways. This is after where a throttle body spacer would go but sort acts on the same premise as a throttle body spacer on an older carb-fed engine.

Do one for 2.7l that increases low-end torque and you will be a hero. Match the gains we are getting in the sub-3k rpm range for a set of DT or LCE headers and you will get your price.

It does make a nice adapter plate for a NOS port, or 7th injecter though.

    With a little machine work.

No problem, I fully understand. I'm just here to spread the word. I know they work on other vehicles like Nissan, now going to show they work on Toyotas as well. I dont falsify anything. It is, what it is. If it works great! if it doesn't well then no biggie. There is no sense trying to falsify anything, you just make yourself look more like an a$$ so its never worth it. I do things the way I would want them done for me. "If you tell the truth, you dont have to have a good memory"....Judge Judy, LOL:p
