I've followed along on some of the TSB discussions and haven't noted a definitive answer on the TSB for a vehicle that's out of the 36K mile warranty period. I bought my truck with a little over 36K on the clock and it now has about 42K on it. Does the TSB have to be done before the warranty is up or do I need to just complain about the rough ride and the fact that my springs look flat? Took a look at them yesterday and was amazed and how little arch there was in them. Also, I'm picking up a set of wheels and tires at a good price and now I need to figure out the lift to fit them. American Racing Chambers 16x8's with 295/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I have an 06 TRD DC SB and I'm thinking of OME coils and shocks up front with Toytec top spacers and a big question mark as what to do in the rear. AAL? New spring packs? Anyone out there wanna chip in with their .02 worth? I'm open to all comments and suggestions so fire away. Thanks in advance gents.

There is no definitive answer- except the ones the the dealers in your area give you. The TSB specifically says that it is covered under the 36K warranty...It does not specify anything after that...BUT if you don't ask-You won't get it.
If you can get the TSB for free- Good deal. Only costs about 70 bucks and some work to get the AAL installed. It'll cost you around 300 to get a new spring pack. I think I'm going to try and get the TSB done and then order my new spring pack.
I'm sure you'll get more opinion and less information as the day rolls on!! Good luck making your decision.

Bought my 05 certified preowned from dealer with 48k on it. Had 2 so far turn me down because of mileage. I've asked. May try more but already have low mileage TRD shocks & coupla different front lift options to go with so thinking of just doing 1.5 Toytec TSB AAL with Timbrens out back & calling it good...unless there's something better without swapping leafs. I only want enough to get off the 285/60/18s up front & be closer to level in back.

Kinda expect that to happen, but hey, just like playin' the lottery right? You don't buy a ticket you never win. I'll go ask and see, if they so no, then so be it, if they say yes, so be it...lol

Did they specifically deny you due to mileage, or because it's out of warranty?

I have the opposite concern, I bought my '05 with only 20k miles on it, but it's 9 months out of 36 month warranty. I've thought about trying to call the 1-800 number but I dread how the conversation would go...:(

Why dread it man?? The worst they tell you is that you aren't covered. However- If you don't call- They will NEVER say anything.

Talk to local dealers, see what they say, then call customer experience.
