So anyone up for taco tuesdays this tuesday?

 

You need to come to one of the meets, I'd like to see it. My next buy is tires and then after that, I'll be looking at skids.

 

What kind of tires are you looking to get?

 

I've been pretty well set on Duratracs. And after seeing Justin and Jim roll through the mud at our meet on Duratracs versus the MT tires, I think they are worth the price. Plus I like the agressive look on them. Still kicking around different thoughts thou. I'll be going with a 265/70R17 most likely.

 

What wheels are you going to go with?

 

Anyone have any idea when i can buy the little rubber seals that go on the back of stock headlights? The ones that seal the bulb and headlight...

 

I kinda like the Moto Metal 951 or almost the XD spy except for the center cap. I like the Black/machined look or possibly a gunmetal.

 

the 951's are the original bro wheel. Like before the monstars.

 

Those are nice! I think they would look better solid black, or solid chrome though. No much of a fan of the black/chrome mix.

Edit: Nevermind my clever cyber analyst skills allowed me to determine they are Ultra Gauntlets.

 

They're Ultra Gauntlets.. I've seen them anywhere around here.

Also, ordered a set of Kelly Safari TSRs 265/75/16 for the FJ today. Going to mount them on the steelies and sell the BBS wheels.

 

I like them. Makes me kinda wish I saw them before I got the Enkei's. Im thinking about getting mine powdercoated Anthracite and blacking out the badges or debadging it.

 

i thought about it but wasn't going to worry. the only thing that is cheaper with you is the cv. i paid cv-$107, Bearings-$100, seals-$9 each, and pads are the same. but i will def look into you next time! i just needed parts this weekend and i have ZERO time to driver any other place to get the parts. Advance is right next door...like 1/4 mile if that. But Thank you!!!

 

Anybody know of a good shop around montgomery that can actually do more than bolt on parts?

 

what do you consider non bolt on parts?

This isn't really near Montgomery, but, Southern Offroad does a lot of that kind of stuff. It's in Pelham.

 

OK quick CB question I hooked up the cobra 29 lx and now the readng I'm getting is my antenna is not reading I've check my ground n its good any suggestions?
