Replacement radio on order! Hopefully the new unit has fewer ghoulies living in the circuitry than the one it's replacing. Now I know why CR's reliability survey for 2009 Tacos was all positive with the exception of RADIO: POOR.

Apparently my 3/36 ran out in December, so I said, wait a minute this was a certified used vehicle. They checked my old dealer, I have 4000 miles left on that. Woot.

On a brighter note, it seems I found a third Toyota dealer with cordial and knowledgeable staff. Lucky! So far I've only had to avoid the only other one in daily driving distance.

Bed rail bolts broke free easily, so next week they won't be a problem with my other new addition ;)

Got my new wheels and tires re-balanced. Props again to Discount Tire, they ride so much better this time. Had a little shake in them the first time. I know they don't make anything on this and yet they still took care of my truck. Very professional! I think I've found my tire dealer from now on. Great service!

Posted a WTB thread and some guy called me. He didn't know if they were real though so I helped him authenticate them.

Installed my new bed extender. I was a little hesitant on getting this because I didn't want to drill any holes in my new truck but it had to be done. Plus I will actually use this thing a lot ;) $205 otd from Toyota.

if you're going big may as well use a D11 and finish the job.

I need to go back operating so I can play with the big toys again

Finally got a pic of how it sits with the new suspension stuff.

    Here's the before-
    [IMG]

    And after-
    [IMG]

This is with 5100's all around (front set at 1.75") and the rear leaf TSB complete. I needed/wanted more clearance, but can't do a lift as I have a rooftop tent that I have to get in/out of the garage with. I'm probably still going to play hell doing so, but I think (if I air-down the rears) I can get away with it as it sits now. With the cap on, I have 37" to the top of the front wheel opening and 37-1/4" on the rear. I'd call that about as level as it gets. I finally feel like I'm ready to load up a bunch of gear and head into the back country. That, and I am very impressed with how much better the ride/handling are with these suspension mods.

If you look close, you can also see my snazzy new Relentless Fab CB antenna bracket! Nice work Eric!
