    Haaaaaate the slotted screws. Phillips ok for short screws, but any longer than about 2.5 inches I will only use Robertson.

    My dad owned and operated an Auto Upholstery Shop for 20 years. When I was younger I worked there durring the summer, we did a lot of street rods and custom upholstery, I always found it funny when we would strip an old car down to the frame (1920's-1930's mostly) the roof was a canvas or cloth top, because they didn't have a press big enough to make a full steel roof, and it was, framed out in oak slats as was most of the interior(door and floor supports) and guess what was holding it all together? Slotted wood screws. Man I hated that aspect of working on older cars.
