Ok I started with a 09 ac, 4cyl 4x4, brand new. Put ome 885 springs and shocks, driver side 5mm spacer under sprig seat, and some duratracks on stock rims. Well my towing needs CHanged and I found a deal on a 2011 double cab sport, with 8000 miles. not wanting to throw away all my hard earned money I swapped tires, lift and air bags, but not tsb springs. Now when I went to get it aligned, the shop said they maxed out the dr side and couldn't get close to factory specs, and it was pulling to the right. I told them I had no problems with the exact same lift and truck before, so I'm thinking bent frame, or shotty craftsmanship from Mexico, my ac was built in Fremont. So now 8000 miles later, my front left inner tire is very worn, while my pass side looks ok. My duratracs look brand new after 25000 miles on my ac and now I'm thinking I may have to replace in another 15-20000. Not bad for an aggressive tire but I can't stand not knowing what's going on. The lean is very noticeable, like 1-1.5" and the rear as well. So my truck frame was either racked by previous owner Or not built right but I want to at least try and fix it a little bit. So finally, if I put the stock sport suspension back on and lowered the front will that help? Maybe if I add a spacer to the dr side, or take it to a frame shop. Either way I look at it I'm probably gonna spend at least 500-1000 trying to figure this out. Any help suggestions would be awesome, I already know about the taco lean but this seems excessive, after I get home tonight I will get you exact measurements and pics. Thanks guys

I could be wrong, but I would think new UCA and an alignment would be your best bet, at least this way you can get the alignment back in spec.

That does seem like more than normal lean, but not sure if it would cause tire wear.

I would constantly rotate the tires every oil change.

My camber was way off at one time. The two tires up front were worn down on the inner side of the tire instead of the outer side. Every time I went to the shop to get an oil change I had them rotate the tires from front to back.

    Sounds like u need UCA's.

What is the actual difference from center of wheel to fender on each side?

One thing I really regret when I bought it was not checking the alinement pins, I have nothing to compare my measurements to now. I'll get exact measurements tonight.

I just put an OME lift on my regular cab. Never had any lean then or now. 3 1/2" in the front, and 4 3/8" in the rear. My toe was out and corrected with an alignment. You have issues. Something in the suspension is bent either from a wreck, poor driving, or pot holes. It is also possible that you alignment shop missed a loose tie rod, bearing, or control arm(not likely considering the milage).

Just got home, measured the from to the center of the hubs, dr side is 21.5, pass is 22.5, so not as bad as i had made it sound. The rear with air bags empty 37 pass side and 36 dr side, all this with a half tank of gas. Uca's were my first thought, guess that would fix the problem. And I checked the alinement pins, dr side is maxed out pushing the lca out, pass is almost maxed pulling the lca in. I am with you sky tower, that's all I needed done to my 09 was toe adjustment. I figured the same when I took the new one in. O well, anyone know of a good alinement shop near Hollister? Maybe even south bay? I want one with those guys who have been working there for 30 yrs and doesn't need a machine to tell them what to do, all they use is an alinement tool and a tape measure. I dunno, just my figurin.....

The newer optical alignment systems, Hunter for one, are more accurate than measuring. Measuring will give you rough toe numbers only. Camber, caster, toe, and the other measurements and angles are done quickly with the hunter machine. They won't tell you what is wrong though. That takes a good tech.
Go to someone who specializes in trucks.
The fact that the Camber adjustments are maxed in different directions tells me something is wrong/bent. If the lift was the problem, the Camber would be maxed to push the top of the tire out.
Check the carfax to see if it was in an accident. I would put money on it was.

Yeah that tech is what I'm hoping, wishing for, the last tech was like somethings wrong, and i cant get it into alignment, i ask why not, he says probably something with the suspension. I ask him again, like what, he says iono, something is wrong with your truck... No shit.... I'm pretty good at watching out for cars that have been in accidents, I can easily notice paint color differences, body gaps, and I thoroughly checked under the car (except alignment pins) before buying, had all of the vin stickies, nothing suspicious, also clean carfax....

Yeah but I'm just trying to figure out my truck's alignment problem first, then maybe we can dig into my problems.... Chi

I didn't want to read any of your story, but when it comes to alignment, the TOE is going to hurt the tires more than anything.

Sorry but have to be a jerk; tires are still round, whatever angle your truck sits.

You can screw up the suspension by slamming a curb sideways.

To lift a truck using most of stock components, Ucas, lcas, Knuckle, different struts; basically your are throwing everything to the max of what they should run, therefore camber with a lifted ifs truck does cause a lot of problems... If you did read, you would see that I'm only having a problem with one side, toe would actually even out the tire wear, basically you would turn the steering wheel to correct the effects of a toe that is adjusted incorrectly and even tire wear between both sides would Likely happen, not one side. Not being a jerk, but I appreciate your time to read.... Anyone else?

Thought of that, definitely a possibility, but it didn't happen when I had it... Literally had the lift swapped and alined 2 days after receiving it, there again frame could just be racked...

I would take it to a suspension shop that does alignments and see if they come back with the same comments.

Wow, what a complete overreaction...., I went to another shop, one whose owner had 15 yrs of suspension only work before he bought a Midas, and aligned it no problem. 70 bucks wasted at the other shop but all is within spec now (except caster due to stock ucas and slight lift, but within reason).
