rubbing after toytec c/o and TC UCA - not a duplicate thread

    i did not want to hijack the other thread but realize this is similar.

    i have American racing polished aluminum wheels 16x8 with 4.5 backspace (i think, bought 3 years ago) with bfg 285/75/16 AT on them. I used to have daystar 2.5" spacers up front and had no rubbing issues after trimming. I upgraded the suspension to Toytec C/O and TC UCA and now have rubbing issues due to the UCA pulling the wheels back under the truck a bit more.
    I know the lift height is exactly the same. my question is -

    Will a wheel with more backspacing cure this issue? I can not trim any more. I want to avoid wheel spacers at all cost. I have had a very bad experience with loosening lug nuts (on the highway!) and will not chance that happening again.

    wheel suggestions with proper backspacing? here is what i was looking at:

    $105 from summit racing American Racing AR-23
    $117 from discount tire.

    Icon Coil-overs, TC UCA, with Bilstein 5150 and Icon 3 leaf pack. 17" Moto Metal 951 4.5" Backspacing wrapped in 285/70/17 BFG AT's. Demello front bumper and Avid offroad sliders.
    use loctite or however its spelt on the studs when running wheel spacers.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    yes....the stockers are 5.5" BS and most go w/ a 4.5" BS to clear uca's

    Whenever I've needed to adjust my coilovers, I've had to remove them. I couldn't make them budge. It could be a case of leverage too... Those spanner wrenches really aren't that long...

    Get both tires off the ground. I use a 1" pipe 18" long to turn the spanner.....Watch your knuckles..:(

    got it done! PB blaster and some 1" pipe from home depot got the job done. thanks guys.
    got the front height the same between RT and LT and cranked it up some too. Now i have to find some new wheels and tires. debating between 285/75/16 and 285/70/17
    i just put some FJ sport 17" wheels on there with stock tires to see how it looks. the tires are so small after taking off my 285/75.
