    So I just discovered Google SketchUp awhile back. I'm not sure how long it has been around, but I didn't see any threads on here about it. I actually discovered it when a few guys mentioned it for designing something.

    I tried to learn Solidworks a year or two ago but just couldn't get my head around how to do it well. This program is super easy for me to understand (or my brain has just evolved since then) and I plan on using it to design things for my truck, as well as another trailer.

    Does anyone else use GS? What have you designed with it? Any good ideas?
    I did a ton of tutorials and I love it so far.

    I use it for all my woodworking stuff. Going to build a few more custom projects coming up. Really helps to get a exact design from the concept. I can tweek measurments and add parts to design it to what im looking for.

    Do you build furniture and stuff like that? I love this program so far. I just designed a headache rack for my truck.

    because it's easier to have Elite build it. I don't have the equipment to cut everything out and have it be perfect or a jig to hold it all to weld it up.
    the rack is being built locally with some modifications.
