There are some better options, but for that price that's a decent buy.

It's not like you're shooting weddings or anything though, so it's perfect for casual shooting! :D

Nah, I like shooting outdoors. Scenary, buildings, ect. SOME indoor stuff though like birthday partys and such. I just want a decent close - mid range lens. I wish the F-stop was lower  My telezoom is overkill!!!

I'd say get something with a lower f-stop. You'd be much happier and it would be more diverse. a sigma 24-70 2.8 perhaps? Yes the price quite a lot more but it's well worth it!

 Holy jesus!! Lol that's a little too much for me! I'm planning on getting a lens and with the rest left over, get a new laptop(total of $1,000). Not sure if I want to stick with windows base laptop or switch over to iMac...

The big question. I'm there myself with my next computer. Which might be sooner rather then later the way my Dell is acting

Lol it's a little pricey. I have to remember people don't spend money on camera equipment like I do lol.

I say go with Mac. But Mac is more expensive usually. I love both of mine though so I always tell people to buy Mac.

I had nothing but problems with my past two windows computers. one of which only lasted 3 months! Now I've had my Macs for over a year and haven't had a single problem!
