I was hoping to check out an ARB bumper in person on a 2nd Gen. I have been trying to decide between ARB and Aluminess. I haven't had any luck finding someone with an Aluminess yet - So, I figured I would try to find an ARB. I live in Battle Ground, WA. Any members around me care if I take a look?

I got to take a look at an ARB up close last weekend. The quality is over the top. The fit and finish are near Toyota levels, I like how it looks like it belongs on the truck. Not some farm job someone cobbled together. They can be found for less then a g note. Its what i'm getting.

Saw the new ARB on the 05-11 tacoma at the PNW Sportsmans show last week. Looked good. Not as much steel as years past, but it still looks better than a stock bumper everyday.

You do realize ARBUSA is in Renton WA right? When I plan on spending some serious money on mods especially front end protection I like to do something called research. I visit various company websites and make some phone calls, then make a purchase. Your fortunate enough to live in the same state as the US headquarters so go check them out and put your hands on one. I've only seen one Aluminess bumper on person and it was on an FJ and it did look pretty good. I just like the fact that you could throw an ARB on any stock vehicle and it looks great. Also, the weight of the ARB will require a suspension upgrade. I'm not going into details because there are 50 threads started everyday on that subject because people don't search.

I've spent a great deal of time researching the past few months trying to decide between Aluminess and ARB. I am well aware of what suspension mods are needed to compensate for the ARB. I am at a point now where I just need to take a look in person to make a final decision. Regardless of how great a product is - if its ugly, or fits poorly - I have no desire to have it on my truck for the next decade. I have spoke with ARBUSA several times, they have answered all of my questions and exceeded expectations. That said, I'm not sure they would have a Tacoma sitting around Renton just for guys like me to go look at and seeing an ARB sitting on the shelf won't do me any good either.
