    well if the back plastic panel is the only thing stopping it, I removed mine so my woofer box would fit a little better, so i have bare exposed cab back wall (gonna eventually cover it in deadner)

    Does this make the install any easier? And if you do want to just check it out and see what you're workin w/ shoot me a PM, everyday but Tuesday im free after 3pm

    Yeah, not having the plastic storage cubby/panel makes the install WAY easier. If you want, you could post a pic of your setup for me to see if everything looks like it will fit ok.

    You looking to put your switch in there? Should work and prob looks easier than my 08 which as a lot of ribbing in there. 08 models did not have the switches and blanks there.

    What are the dimensions of those blanks in the 2012? The power window switch requires a cutout that is 3/4" wide by 1-1/2" long.

    You could alternatively maybe put the switch in that strip immediately below the climate control knobs, sort of similar to what GregLee did.

    I like mine there below the climate controls because it is also horizontal and gives a nice intuitive feel when opening and closing because it slides left and right, not up and down. Plus my passenger can reach it. Others that put it in the driver's side blanks or under the 4WD selector may not be able to do that.

    Best mod out here. Love it!

    When you say 1 1/2" long, you mean the heigth looking at the switch right? Not how far it goes into the dash? The blanks that i showed are 3/4 x 1 3/8 so it might not fit without a slight bit of modification.

    Greg lee, my strip below is only about 1 3/4 so it will be a tight fit. I can see what you mean about a left to right, but having it vertical with "down to open" and "up to close" i think would still feel natural. Is anyone removing their window latches so someone doesnt accidentially lock the window? Or is that not possible?
