yeah they scare me too lol but i have a buddy who says he can do that. that service manual that is a sticky has the wiring diagrams in them i just need to pull all the unneeded wires. i want to run dual batteries one for engine the other for lights and radios and such. but i want a switch to move the engine system over to the other battery incase the main dies. it shouldnt be too hard

If I recall correctly your not supposed to land a roll cage tube to the top of the frame anyway. There should be some sort of tie in plates like MJP2 has

and considering this happend, i would rather go directly to the frame.

Just a suggestion, its your build. Just wanted to bring it up to your attention before you got too far along to change it. It would be a way to get you some extra leg room. BTW MJP2 is score tagged

"The cage is tied to the frame through doubler plates sandwiching the floorpan and these boxes underneath"

Per score "Cages must be securely mounted to the frame or body and gussetted and braced at all points of intersection. Cab or body mounted cages must not be attached to the body structure by direct welding, but must be bolted through and attached by the use of doubler plates (one on either side) with a minimum thickness of .187”, see Figure 4. Where bolt and nuts are used the bolts shall be at least .375” diameter SAE Grade 8 or equivalent"

So did you ever test the arms out? Any recent pictures of them?
