Riley likes the cold also. I just worry about her because she's getting older.

nice find. The bump up middle may make it difficult through some spots in the woods.

Well, my better half has talked me into getting a beater vehicle to take on the wheeling trips...something I can keep the pedal to the floor and jump into some ruts. So I've found this 86 Toy 4x4 for $1400 and it needs a trans put back in (comes with a complete extra drivetrain). 4cyl 5 speed.

Or this 92 4runner. $1000 Need brakes/shocks...who cares if I'm modding for an off road rig. And they say this thing runs great with 138k miles on it.

86 all the way. Does it have a 22R or RE? how many miles? If you want a 4runner get the earlier body style.

I'll give them both a call after church this morning. I've seen some pretty sweet things done to those early pickups. He doesn't list which 4cyl it has in there. Probably will have to go look at talk him down on the price.

I'll have to get creative and build a roll cage for them regardless. :D We might get careless with those rigs lol.

Does she know what she's saying. Mine knows better to tell me to get/build a beater beause it will be a money pit that never ends...as I type this I realize your point though better to beat the old one and keep your '11 nice.

It's the same issue with my bike. Get a 600 and you're going to want to make it all fancy n crap lol

Oh well I don't mind having multiple money pits to slowly add to. Whats nice about an old beater like that is taking your fab skills at work and doing a lot of mods yourself. Make my own sliders and cages on the side for it.

The nice thing about having a second truck is that you dont worry about breaking it because you dont have to drive it in the morning. You also get to do your own fab and learn alot, and if it doesn't work out like you want then oh well you fix it when you get a chance. It wont be long and you will want a trailer to haul it on though.

We went and looked at enclosed trailers yesterday. Which would be more suitable for what we need. I've gotta save for those wedding bells this year so a play truck is out of the picture until spring 2013 I'm guessing.

Is the 22re better to have than the r? I havn't read up much on those motors.

What are you looking at an enclosed trailer for?

Pretty simple the 22R is a carb and 22RE is fuel injected. Fuel injection is better for wheeling but same motor otherwise as far as I know.
