Was wondering if anyone has purchased the mile edge plus? www.mileedgeplus.com it says it will improve mpg 5%-15%, just wondering if this sounds like a hoax or is it possible? The one good thing is they offer a 60 day money back gaurantee with full refund.

15% of 18 MPG is 2.7. so you'll only be getting 20-21 MPG

very true and right now i'm getting 18mpg. hoping to get 20mpg in summer and if thats the case and i had the mile edge plus i would be getting around 23mpg if it worked. And that would be worth buying it

Intake airflow is an art. When porting intakes on a flowbench the things you think would help often don't and vice versa. Sometimes a little turbulence helps things by further atomizing the fuel and sometimes less is better. Sometimes smooth walls in intake manifolds help and sometimes a rougher surface is required. The only way to know for sure what works in any given engine is to try it and measure. Guys who do this for a living can spend dozens or even hundreds of hours optimizing flow in a specific engine.

Even if it offered a small benefit one particular engine it could not possibly work on all of them. Manufacturers spend a lot of time these days tuning intakes for economy, they have to in order to compete in the marketplace and meet mileage regs.

Bottom line... it is another product designed to take peoples money.

Use this ring. It'll save you a lot more than 15%.

Very smart words......I only have 1500 miles on it so like you say right now would be pointless in adding anything to it. I need to wait until it breaks in a lil bit i reckon. Thanks for the advice! TW is awesome

But yeah, the milageplus collar doesn't do anything.

    1. The throttle body inlet is already smooth.
    2. The velocity stack profile should be downstream of the plenum, at the inlet of the runners. However, this is difficult to cast/mold, so only high-end sports cars have them.
    3. The Tacoma V6 doesn't benefit from increased airflow, as evidenced by all the CAIs and charcoal filter removals being ineffective.
