I just did this one, great idea, and thanks for posting. Some of the edges are a bit sharp, I might try to put something over them.

Also I used Optix, but I used the 8x10 inch sheets. They cost $1.58 each at Lowe's, you need 3 of them, and they are a bit more rigid than the larger sheets, I thought it worked a little better.

On my 2011 the latch for the lid has a little plastic bit that I had to cut a notch into one of the acrylic pieces to accommodate, but otherwise this was almost exactly the design I used. Thanks!

Thanks for the great idea! Just finished mine. Used 3 8X10 sheets at Lowes. Cut the pieces to length using a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. I cut the slots to fit them together with a dremel at high speed and a straight edge. Dremel bit was one of those rotozip bits. Worked out fairly well.

I like that, it's pretty cool. I can see all the cigarettes, where's the beer in with the bandaids?

Looks great! I didn't think one of those rotozip bits would work. I'll have to try that on my next attempt.

LOL, That actually works out pretty damn good, and you can lift it out!

Ya, spring loaded. I may try that if I get board one day!
I have a 6yo son, always need Bandaids!

I don't want to steal anyones thread but I was looking at what people have done with center console organizers. I made an organizer in black for my truck this spring. Now I am having them professionally made and have been selling them to TW members. So, if you never got around to making one check out this one for $20 http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/219169-center-console-organizer-gen2-tacoma.html

Nice job on yours OP! Several people asked about clear instead of black.

Update, put some door edge guards on the top edges a while ago, and worked out great to clean up the edges. Still haven't made another one, this one still works out great.
