uum, I think Bill is going down that right path when asking if they are ball joints vs uni-ball, as they look more like ball joints.

btw, I was told by Camburg to use a Liquid lubricant with teflon on a regular basis( uni-ball).

I've got the burg ball joint uca's. Been on for over a year and no squeaking and my alignment is perfect no abnormal tire wear. I'd say yes to them

Think I read somewhere about an FJ dude who made some covers out of high density plastic or something and sealed them up somehow. Can't find it now but I'll keep looking!

I like mine and they take a beating offroad. I have Moogs in mine, also.

Haha thanks for the tease. I actually just got toytec top plates for free from a generous member here to complete the coil kit with my Billy's so I guess I'll have one up on you!!!

Btw how was the install on those? I only have basic tools. Will I need to compress the coils to out on the top plate?

Off topic question: How many inches of lift is possible before you run into alignment issues without aftermarket UCAs. I have camburg UCAs installed with only ~2" of lift. I'm thinking of putting stock UCAs back on.

You usually can stretch it to 2.5 max without UCAs. I have Billy's set at 2.5 and no alignment issues on my truck.

Shoot me a PM on how much you would sell yours for picked up! U have ball joint?

Why would you do that? Having them is better than not having them... or are you just low on cash and want to sell them?

The squeak is pretty annoying to me, personally. If I can get good alignment without them (with a ~2" lift), I wouldn't mind the extra cash too.

hey guys... i just bought a set of camburg ball joint upper control arms, i also bought a brand new set of MOOG upper ball joints. the guy at camburg tried to press them in for me and said they will not fit, and that they are a tad bit to thick . hes thinking i need to find a stock ball joint.... but toyota wont sell the ball joint without the whole upper control arm.... any suggestions? i find this to be very strange that it would not fit.

King Coil overs w Resi,Camburg UCAS, LEATHER!!! USA-SPEC Ipod Controller,
I also have the Camburg UCAs. I purchased the Moog Ball joints for super cheap at my local auto parts store and had them pressed in. I attempted to press them myself manually but they were a bit tight. So I took them to a local shop with a hydro press and they did it for $30. So far they are great no squeaks! Super easy to lube with the Zerg fittings. Its a way cheaper way to go than the uniball version imo. They made my alignment perfect after I installed the kings.

Just inspect the arms after you.have them pressed in for damage. Before you leave the shop. If you.have them done.
