    I haven't done any research on 2012 switches that would work in those locations -- you may be able to fit an OEM window switch in one of those blanks, I'm not sure. Or maybe there are rocker switches for FJ Cruisers or 4Runners that might fit there.

    If anyone wants to buy their own switch, I am willing to exclude the switch I normally include as part of the kit and will reduce the price of the kit by the cost of the switch (about $12).

    Yeah, I have sold a few to 2012 owners, but I haven't heard any feedback about where they mounted their switches. If you want to provide pics of your install for other 2012 owners to benefit from, that would be great!! :)

    Sorry to say, I am sold out of kits for a while (for those who have PM'd me to order a kit, don't worry -- you are safe! :)).

    I will fab another run of kits hopefully within 2-3 weeks.

    The switch I provide has 5 terminals on it (wiring diagram is included in the PDF instruction manual on the first post of this thread). Most 2 way rocker switches intended for use with power windows ought to work.

    You don't have to worry about removing the window lock. In BenWA's instructions, you set the window on the track to be fully closed (on the track), but in actuality, the window is about 1/8 of an inch open. Its still covered by about 1/2 in of weather stripping. I've had no wind or water leakage in mine. The window is as secure as any of your other power windows since you are using a power window motor for it. You could remove the latch, but you would have alot of difficulty removing the bracket and the window will still have a black patch on it where it was epoxyed.

    Good luck with the switch. I'm happy with the mod and Ben was a great help with it. :cool:

    Fractured - Thanks. I just had a great experience with the kit. Ben helped install it.
    And that rear window is my favorite window and I can never access it in a double cab while driving.
