Called Sean in Hanford and he's gonna do a little homework for me and get back to me on prices. I am actualy thinking about not taking it in to the dealer but doing a 5100 set at 1.75 in the front and just throw an add a leaf (aal) in the rear. The guy I talked to at the local dealer here did not help much. You can tell they didn't want to do the job. What is everyone's thoughts. Also will that setup can I keep the stock wheels and tires for the time being until I wear them out and then replace the tires later or will it look too high?

thats what i said, but the mod bug had bit me too hard, about a month later got the revo 2's. i work at the dealer in visalia, i cant say we do a lot of lifts but we do a few. the boss is kind of a custom guy too, were doing a 6" on a tundra off the lot right now. im not sure how much it would be to install them but if you get the tsb done it would cover the alignment and the front is not that bad to install. i did it on mine, didn't take that long.

Well what if I do the 5100s first then set up an appointment at your dealer. Could they throw in the 4 leaf pack that there is a TSB on and do the alignment for me? The guy at the Hanford dealer basically tried to get me to pay for the whole thing and as soon as I mentioned the tsb he started talking about how much harder the right will be and how it's not the best idea.

Dont mention the TSB at all when you go. I got mine done in Hanford and I told them it bottomed out when I loaded up with wood. (the frame did have marks from the bump stops on it from when I took it off road). They looked at the truck and ordered parts for me. One of the guys that works with Sean does dealer installed lifts for Kellers in Hanford and they can do the paperwork and deal with Toyota so you would be able to get the lift and not have your warranty affected.

So are you saying do it all through Sean? Also by doing this am I asking for vibrations or will I still have a smooth ride?

The TSB has to be done at Toyota. Once you decide on the lift you want, Sean can do it and he should be able to get permission from Toyota so that the lift wont affect your warranty (as if Toyota installed it for you)

Oh ok gotcha. It's just that the dealer was being a pain in the a$$ about it so I was thinking about just taking it to Sean to do an AAL to the rear and the 5100s to the front. Then later (once the tires are done) throwing on 265/75/16s I don't mind spending a little more money if it means I don't have to deal with the stupid dealer

i'm pretty sure we could do that, i would even do it, i think it pays like 3 hours including the alignment, thats crazy how hanford is, here our service writers are all over the tsb. after i did mine and they found out about it, they've done about 3 or 4 more. the writers work of commission so they found out that the parts alone for the tsb are about $1500, so theyre more than happy to do it. i dont understand why some dealers are bitches, we warranty a lot of stuff, no matter if its lifted or abused.

OK sorry to keep asking crazy questions here but could I set up an appointment to bring my truck to you guys and have them to the TSB on the rear (4 leaf package) which will be covered under warranty and then just have you guys install 5100's in the front set at 1.75"? I would like to one stop shop for this stuff rather than have my truck in 15 different shops to get this stuff done. I also would like to life and stiffen the rear end without having to pay out of pocket if i can. Also do you have any vibe issues doing this? I know the TSB covers the new spring pack, alignment etc. So really it should just cost me the 5100s on the front and labor for that? Again thanks for the help

yeah i believe it would only be a little more to put on the 5100's but we could work that out. i know you have to order the springs and stuff so i think you can just call and order them so theyll be there whenever you want them installed. i could ask on monday. whats the info on your truck?

oh and i don't have any vibes, you can't even really tell a difference in the ride in the rear.

I put pics on the live thread. I'll put them here when I get home. Weather was nice but the wind picked up towards the end and it felt like I was getting sand blasted
