Anyone into R/C?

Seems that Associated bought MIP (Moores Ideal Products) out some time ago, so your shafts are the very same. The main thing to keep an eye on, are the outdrives for notching, and he drive pins them selves developing a "hook" on them. Set your slipper correctly (assuming it has one, again I don't know these trucks well) and don't be ham-fisted, you'll be fine.

Curious to know, do those front tires turn as well as some ribs, (Pro-line Edge type) or you just going for the scale look?

 

probably not, but it's not that I'm going for the scale look i run bead locks so I like that I'm able to swap the tires around when needed.

 

So, those tires are not CA glued on? Does anyone make any one piece wheels for it, non bead lock? Or, again, is it just a scale thing? Are they even allowed (one piece I mean)?

 

the wheels are usually 1 piece and glued on. i opted for the bead locks cuz I don't like messing with the glue.

And again not really going for the scale thing I just don't want to go through the hassle of baking my wheels and tires every time i want new tires.

1 piece wheels are definitely allowed.

The video explains a lot. Y'all are just a bunch of dudes having a good time "racing" each other. I say this because of the one fellow stopping and trying to turn another guy over, and the other drivers pausing to wait on the rest of the guys. It's the same at our track, but, a tad more serious, as were all preparing for the real races. But honestly, our private track races are more fun, with no pressure. But I'd rather kick a buddies ass than some dude I don't even know...

 

Thats exactly how it is haha. This track is all friends and we have friendly races and grudge matches. They arent official races or anything.

A few of the guys do club racing on sundays. I do have a lot of fun here but I'm trying to set up my slash to do some racing at a club track.

And yes I'd rather kick their asses here cuz I can rub it in their faces. All in good fun of course. hahaha

Were finding that we're going to organized races less and less, because like you said it's more fun, with out the pressure. We drag out a grill and a cooler on Sundays (it is on private land) wives and kids show up and just hang out. Normally we run all winter, but we've let our track get out of shape, bout time to get it whipped into shape for spring.

yeah we do. during the week this track is used for an after school program. So when ever We need parts we go through pro-line and rpm (another sponsor).

Anyone have any helpful hints on installing this ESC and motor?

3800 sidewinder SCT into my SC10.

 

Make sure positive to positive and negative to negative!!















Make you u remember the blinker fluid as well.

 

Solder a male plug that fits your batteries to the leads coming from the ESC making sure you have pos/neg right, connect the matching motor bullet connectors to the ESC, plug the Futaba connector into the throttle channel on the receiver. Bolt the motor in, use servo tape to mount the ESC. Install a pinion, set your gear lash, hook up a battery and go.
