Weathertechs + Manual Trans = Doesn't fit?

I have a reg cab 5spd, weather tech says their floormats won't fit, but I see guys in the build section with manual transmissions and weathertechs. What exactly doesn't fit?

The part of the mat where the clutch goes when it is depressed, most ppl just trim a little piece off

I have a reg cab with the 5 speed as well. The reason they "won't fit" is because when the clutch is fully depressed it can kind of get caught on the end of the mat. I just notched out a few inches so when the clutch is in it doesnt touch the mat and its been fine for me. Ill try and get a picture of the notch i cut this afternoon when i go out.

 

how many people need to say the same thing?

you can still get them. no problem making them fit extremely easily

 

Yep, I'm definitely going to order them now. There is a cabelas not far from me, I'm going to see if they've got them in stock.

 

Cabelas and Weather Tech Practically the same thing. They just put there sticker over the Weather Tech one. Arent they the same company by the way??

 

Yo they will fit, you just need to cut with a razor where it makes contact with the clutch when fully depressed, .......................

 

I got some husky liners and they dropped in with no problem

Just trim it. It's at the top no water will get up that high. I have the floor liners not the mats.

 

The plastic is kinda thick, but a box knife should do the trick. That's what I used, although I did give myself a pretty good cut not being careful
