this is weird i went from a tire 245 r 70 16 to a 265r70 16 now my speed is off so if u go 70 u are only going 65 how do u calberate your speedmonitor 07 tacoma 4x4

 

Assuming this isn't a troll,

There is nothing weird about different tire sizes causing different readings on your speedometer. The dealership should be able to reprogram.

Good to know. Ford was able to recalibrate the speedometer on my old F-150. I figured the same could be done with the Taco.

 

the 245 r 70 16 were more money they the 265 r70 16 and i got michelin 245 were stock

 

Radius on 245/70/16= 14.8"
Radius on 265/70/16=15.3"

I suggest you look at the sticker inside your drivers door for the size tire your truck was originally equpped with. On my truck, 245X75R-16 was the standard, 265X70R-16 being an optional tire size. These two tires share a near identical height.

My thinking is that your 265X70R-16 tires are giving you the correct reading and your old tires were giving you a false reading.

i was going to put on the original tire was 245 r 70 16 but the price was ridicuious so i guest i will put up with it be off 265 were alot cheaper.
