LOL most cars and SUV's don't come with mudflaps and have just as much exposed tire/tread as our Tacoma's without mudflaps.

I pulled mine off because it looked a lot better. If you're following close enough to have to worry about rocks from my tires, you're following too close.

First time I went off roading with a buddy in his TRD off road prior to buying my truck, one of the rear flaps tore off the truck very easily on the trail. I have always run all my trucks without them, and knew if I were to buy a Tacoma they would come off. Very first thing I did when I got home, took the mud flaps off and sold them on ebay for $150... :D

Do you happen to have step bars? I've noticed that the step bars catch most of the thrown rocks and they look pretty good on double cabs. What they don't catch they seem to deflect. I'm an avid driver and I've had to replace my front flaps 4 times now in 322k. I like the looks of them so I keep putting them on but it never fails that I'll be backing out of a steep area normally while trailoring that I'll tear the front drivers side off. Just my thoughts

My flaps were trimmed a couple of inches by the previous owner and my rocker panels and the front of my rear fenders have thousands of little rock chips on them. I put full length flaps back on.

I trimmed 4" off the front & 1" off the back of mine before I installed my lift to stop them from dragging all the time and now I wish I hadn't.

Tint (35%), a must. Step bars, Bull bar, Bull lights,4x4 light mod, Flip down 10" DVD player, De badged, Color match front emblem, color matched bumpers., black out tails, Cobra cb, Flashlight mod,bed-light mod,
Take em off. If you are ever wheeling your more than likely gonna rip them off with some of the inner wheel plastics with them. You can always put them back on if you feel you need them.

I got that invisible bra shit put on my truck when I bought it and I'm going to run strips of it where the flaps dig into the paint before putting them back on. Hopefully that'll be enough to keep them from leaving gouges.

Dude leave them off. Looks way better. Did my truck today. Plenty of trucks don't have mud flaps so I wouldn't feel bad. I love the look and I think yours looks way better!!!
