What are they made out of? I kinda like it. Plus my friend was sitting on a skateboard in the back of my longed camper and i would drive fwd and brake to make him slide around. Was all fun until i thought, oh yeah that crash sound is him hitting my tail gate. All good though no marks :) In the future i might need one of these reinforcements for the cab side haha

I have one from the original run, these are great, you do need to trim the plastic liner if you want to put it back on, but my tailgate is solid! I added the rear shock so it drops slowly too! (people wouldn't realize how heavy it is and just let it drop free fall ) great item for people who load bikes/quads/etc in the back.

These are made of steel. On my tailgate, i had to bend the lip out a little to get it to fit, but besides that everything went smooth. i'm also going to run the ezdown on my tailgate when i get a chance.

I've gotten a few people from out of state interested, and i'm thinking about shipping. Give me a few days to see if i can get some materials together to get these packaged.

i got one from his original run and i had the same lip problem. i actually didn't bend it out enough at first and ended up scratching my paint a tiny bit but it's hidden under the lip.

FWIW mine came just with some cardboard on the corners and a shitpile of clear wrap around it and it made it fine.

also, i used spray on bed liner for mine and it worked out pretty badly. going to strip it down and redo it this spring with something better. the spray on stuff just chips off too easily with loading stuff in and out. oh well.

i highly recommend this to people who load motorcycles in their bed.

    Too many mods to list
I would buy in a heartbeat if shipping wasn't going to completely screw me to 00918, PR.

i also recently added the easy down since people kept dropping it not realizing how much heavier it was. works like a charm now and really takes the impact out of dropping it open. Over a year later and it's worked like a charm for all my loading of dirt bikes and motorcycles. I've even dropped quite a few things on it by accident and dragged some heavy metal pieces on it but it barely is marked at all. GREAT Product. Get one before your tailgate bends in half.

I want one of these or I am going to in for a tailgate replacement soon. I am in Canada and it's going to cost me... quite frankly, I don't care, I just need one.

    I'll send you a PM.

Looks like a sweet mod. If I had some loose $ I would be in. Price seems very reasonable. I know I will be driving Taco's for years to come so I hope these remain available.
