Never running that style batt in my slash again. I though I would use it for ten mins or so.
The motor started to cut out on me and my led was flashing red. Touched the batt, holy frack!! Talk about hot!! Then touch my motor. Holy WOW. Fracker burned my hand.

My lipo never gets that hot even runner 30 mins straight

Why must charging batterys be so difficult

I am trying to switch over to the 2s lipo, im using a ac6 charger, I think I got it all set correct but hell if I know. I miss just plugging a battery in and waiting for the light to go green

    I am trying to charge a gen ace 4000mah 30c 7.4v 2s1p battery

It is set to the right battery, have it charging at 3.0A, its reading 7.70v, been charging for 15min, and the charged capacity is at 789.

I figure it will set fire or charge

You have to charge it at 4 amps. It will be 8.4 volts when it's fully charged

Yeah im actually trying to figure out which battery to buy for it. The one that my slash 4x4 comes with is a 7 cell 8.4v 3000 MAH. It just doesnt last long enough. I got myself the ez peak charger for faster charging but i need more run time. I dont think i want to go lipo just yet. I was thinking of getting the traxxas series 5 battery. i believe that is also 8.4v but 5000MAH. Im still learning this deal so who knows if im going the right direction.

You can. Just hit stop and change the amps to 4. The amps will begin to fall as the battery nears its charge.

There's really nothing wrong with charging at lower amps, but it's best to charge it set 1C.
