What is a good brand film to match rear double cab windows. I know 20% is a perfect match percentage wise but what film would match the blackness of the factory window. Pls no green hue tint.
    Please post pics! Thanks

Posting from my phone so no pics, but there are some in my gallery and build page. I have 35% 3m on the front. From a light transmission stand point front and rear almost match, I tried 20% first and it matched well from the outside but let less light in than the back and was difficult to see my mirrors at night. Plus the darker in front thing was annoying.

Just in case you'd like to observe the laws in your state: http://tintlaws.com/

I tinted my own car windows once and it was miserable. Worth every penny to take it to a tint shop and let them mess with it. Happy tinting!

I did 3M on the yoda, but honestly i don't think its any better than any other film. 3M likes to put their name on everything so after your tint is on and dry you have to clean off all the 3M symbols everywhere.. I got 5% all around and on top of the factory tint in the rear.

I don't know, but it's nice to know there could be a ticket out there with your name on it. Several tickets, if you drive like I do. :D

In Maryland you could get a ticket, but more likely you would get a repair order. Which just means you have to take it off and let the police see you did it. In Baltimore MD that's really not something you have to worry about. I guess being a cop helps also...

Thanks looks Gud. I live on Maui and the only options here are 3m and formula one pinnicle.

    Which 3m? Color stable?
If so, did it hold up?

In Oklahoma, I have a friend who walked into the tint shop and said, "Tint every window on it, dark as it comes" The shop owner told him he can't do the windshield, it's illegal (also he only kept legal shades in stock). My friend put $400 cash on the counter and told him he could keep the change. His windshield has tint, and the cops never seem to notice.

Just had my front door windows done today. I did 35% and it came out great. It is just a touch lighter then the rear. I think that if I had gone with the 20% that they said was a match it would have been too dark. My front windows already seemed to have a tint. What a difference this makes both inside and out.

My girlfriends old Grand Am had 5% all around and like 50% on the windshield. That was stupid. Looked good and was ok during the day, but at night it sucked big time.
