Baja Designs XPG?

So, I was thinking about getting a light bar with some Kragens, but the light bar manufacturer is MIA so I'm looking at other options. Has anyone used one of these? Seems like you could possibly mount this in the lower valence.

A little cheaper than a bar + 2 Kragens. Any input on output or durability? Will output be even in the same league as a couple 7" Kragens?

 

From looking at their specs, it apprears that (1) 10" bar more-or-less equals (1) HID.
I was looking at putting (2) 10" bars in the top grill slot. I think they will just fit, with a little trimming of the plastice grill trim. I already have a pair of PIAA 2100 halogens in the bottom grill slots.
I thought of putting the light bars in the lower valence, as you were thinking, but the tech support guys opinioned that being so low would not give good range, unless you wanted for fog only.
I was going to drive up from San Diego to Carlsbad to see the light bars, and work with tech guys to see how they's fit - now I need $800.

Cool, thanks. I'm not sure what I'm going to end up doing. I'm not much of an offroader but I would like some extra light when I'm running backroads at night. We have an insane amount of deer around here so I want to see a little more of the road and ditches than I can right now.

 

Is it just me, or does that look really small?

 

Here is the 40" LED Stealth , the lights on the bumper are the Bajadesigns Soltek 8" Racelight HID w/ amber lens. Here is some info on why the Baja Designs XPG Stealth is smaller than most other LED's. They are thinner because they use an XPG LED which is a brighter and smaller LED than the MCE LED that their competitors use. A smaller LED die allows them to make the reflector smaller and still achieve superior results. Most othersare using outdated technology so they either have to make their reflectors bigger or they have to use twice as many LEDs as we do and they still aren’t as bright as a bar using CREE XPG LEDs. These light put out an incredible amount of crisp bright light with a minimal amount of shadows. The best thing is they stand behind their products with years of off road lighting experience in both trucks, buggies, and motorcycles.

@ tacovendor - do you think the 50" bar will mount to the roof? or will it be too wide with the brackets?

It depends on how you mount it, mine is the 40".

 

I saw that and noticed it fits real well on your roof rack. But I was considering mounting it to the roof like they advertise on their website. The only problem is im not sure if thats a full size or midsize truck in the picture. I guess ill have to go to ORW and look at both the 40" and 50" bars.
