Just curious, what's so special about it that took them 8 months to build?

Those were my considerations. After having one for 3+ years now I'd rather have a fiberglass cover. Easier to lock, and I can open the back window on cold days. With the bestop I have to be careful on cold days or the clear vinyl will shatter again. (already happened once, and they replaced it under warranty) I figure I'll just rig up a lift in the barn if I need to take the hard cover off when I get one. And I rarely take it off anyway because it's a pain in the ass unless it's hot and flexible.

    Those are cool .

I used to have a crossbed style toolbox on my last truck , and my experience was that I scratched the shit out of the side of my truck wearing my toolbelt fishing tools out of the box from the side of the truck.

I decided to not suffer the same fate and opted not to get windoors for my truck because of that .

    Yeah , just a thought .

I think the metal hammer loops on my belt and my hammer did most of the damage .

Thought I'd give you a heads up .

Yup. I originally planned out my order with windoors, but I knew that my clumsy ass would be bouncing crap off the side of the truck every time I used them so I changed to regular sliders. I'm the sort who insists on carrying as much in my hands as humanly possible on every trip rather than just make two runs. I dig these in concept, but not something I could handle without damage.

Not the best of pictures, but its all i have.

After buying the camper and having it painted (All windows and window door removed, painted, then reinstalled) still came out cheaper than buying a used one.

Anyone know of a HMMWV wedge style cap for our trucks? I doubt there is one out there, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed... [IMG]

As have I. But I saw it on a half ton chevy. I also saw a picture of one on the back of a H3T. It was on one of the big 3 shell manuf. websites. IMO it looked terrible.

Hey folks...still pretty new around here, and wanted to start contributing. Here's my 2010 DCSB with its new partner...a Leer 100XL. Had one on my former truck and am delighted so far. Aftermarket luggage rack on the roof to mount the racks for my fishing rods. Will be adding a rack to the front end to hold a cooler and rods in the near future. :D
