I cut 4" off front & 1" off rear before doing my lift, and now I wish I hadn't.

Gotta love the long weekends. I got a lot done.

    - wired a switch for my knight rider lights in the scoop.
    - Installed my CB inside the console

After making the cuts to the console:

I still need to add the PA speaker but i'm wired for it and attach the CB unit so its not floating around.

Why? i hated that this summer while wheeling they banged out on every rock on the trail, sounded horrible and thought i was doing damage to the fenders. I took 5 inches off the rears and completely removed the fronts cause they are horrible and worth around $120 bucks.:D

Put my metalmiller skid plate on.

Have a couple questions. I used stainless steel hardware since metalmiller was out of hardware. Is that ok, or should I try to find grade 8 stuff. I dont offroad, so im not worried too much about the bolts being sheared.

Also, had to take the emergency tow hook off to get the skid plate on. Can't get it back on after putting the skid plate on, as the skid is too close to the holes the bolts go in. Am i gonna die now? LOL. JK.

I trimmed mine for the same reasons, but now that I'm lifted I'm spraying the sides with the salt/sand the put on the roads.

I was gonna trim mine for a better look but I didn't because of the salt they use in PA and I'm extremely anal with how my truck looks

Yeah I hear ya about the salt, I usually just rinse mine off right after a snow storm. Those mudflaps are just to darn long!!!

I'm pretty good about spraying the undercarriage and wheel wells, bottom half of the truck after storms so i should be good.

Alot of it is salt, there is no escape from it. Some dirt too though. The undercarriage gets sprayed off from time to time. It looks bad now, but come spring it'll get cleaned and oiled down.

Yes, it hurts to see it that way.:(

Finished putting in my N-FAB spare tire carrier. Getting a custom strap made...bright blue strap with the gray truck doesn't mix well

Did the BHLM and front emblem on my Taco this weekend. The BHLM was pretty straight forward. I did manage to scratch the lenses on the way out and had to sand (600/1500 grit), and buff them out. Other than that, it was pretty easy. I could probably whip it out in a hour or two on the next go around. Anyway.....here's the progress pics:

How nutted-up are you on the exhaust? That's been my concern for doing this, wondering if I'd need some sort of heat shield. Damn glad to hear that a 33 can be jammed up there which means I'll definitely be able to swing a 32!
