that's good... ABS is counter productive in the dirt. i no haz ABS

 

ABS is overrated intell you have to slam on the brakes in the rain but how often does it rain in socal lol

 

Neither do I! Thanks you spindles for that. I love that engage kit. I'm a fan of that wide stance and high ride height ha. But the burg gets the job done as well.

No abs and you can do this^^^minus 500 hp... did you have to clock the resivor on the bypass? i asked brett king about doin the piggyback and he said it wouldnt clear?!im pissed now....

I don't think ABS or Traction goes off on our truck. Even when you push the
traction button it just makes it less sensitive. I could be wrong tho.

So you've been running your front suspension without straps this entire time..?

 

No offense but that doesn't exactly prove that it's not working. Romping on the brakes with ABS doesn't stop you any faster, it just allows you to still turn and control the vehicle without totally locking up the wheels.

 

Yea..but I haven't hit anything hard enough to max out the suspension..

 

Maybe I got this wrong, but I think all he's trying to address is that when the e-locker is engaged, the ABS is turned off. It is true for the 2nd gen Taco to lose ABS with locker engaged, mine does.

If I'm not mistaken, some race trucks have a modified ABS system that works great in the dirt, but the Tacoma's are better left turned off as I've tried both on and off with the ABS. I figure if you're going to engage the locker, be prepared for some serious driving and potential wheel lock. Going in with that mentality has helped me avoid situations.

 

Hold the traction button for 3 seconds. For the TRD OFFROADS it disengages the breaking system that acts like an LSD, but still retains ABS.
