    Not really, sliders usually end at door level or veeeeeery slightly below.

    Then how do they protect from door dings if the door curves out a little?

    Because they stick out further than the door curves out.

    They won't double as steps is all I'm saying, they will actually make it slightly harder to get in and out of the vehicle

    Agreed on the too many satoshis.

    Sliders FTW off roading; but not as steps.

    Unless you do them like I did on my 4Runner and install them flat. Then you can use them as steps, sliders, and ride on them SWAT style. :D

    No they do, they do. But they aren't significantly lower than the door level, so they don't make it easier to get in by acting as a step part of the way up to the cab, like a step bar does.
