Looks great man! Did you just mount the mesh in front of of the headlight housing? That's where im stumped. Looks like Homer has decided to contour the mesh to get around that? I still can't decided which route I want to take...

Great way to encourage a newcomer with a new idea homer. Throw your splendor at him, that should encourage him and make him feel welcome. Smugness wont sell too any grills my friend.

OP, i like your idea, good job and thanks for sharing.

Hopefully this thread will motivate Homer to get his 2012 prototype finished!

+1 to the OP for grabbing his balls and just doing it!

Not that this thread needs another opinion, but after sifting through this 4 page rollercoaster i'm gonna leave one anyway...

i genuinely think the grill looks great! Kudos to you for having the balls to cut up your 2012. Call it whatever you please, if it were me and I pulled what you just did I wouldn't likely call it a mirage, but perhaps a miracle...:p

    Im getting there......
I can't believe how many people on here are being asses to the op. Its the first 2012 (2.5gen) satoshi grill I have seen. Good job op! I was planning on eventually getting homertaco to make a grill for my 2007 but if the man is such a jerk I may rethink......come on you guys I don't see anyone pumping out 2012 satoshi's.

As for the homertaco 2012 grill its been awhile man this guy beat you to the chase sorry i guess he's your competition now but thats how business works....you and your TW contingent need to lay off this guy.

Its looks the same as a Satoshi. Looks good anyways. Like the lights too. Id go with tighter mesh but thats my opinion.

Might be cool if it wraped around on the edges more too. Give it a even spacing.

Not sure what the correct name should be, but if the OP wants to call it the Mirage, all the power to him. Nice work cutting up your 2012 and thanks for sharing with us. For somebody that just picked up a Dremel, it's a pretty good effort.

X2... I doubt most realize WHO Satoshi Miura is and why his grill is copied and adapted time and time again.
