Just got my toytec lift installed have couple ?????

5100 all around and add a leaf front set at 1.75. but the coils are rubbing on the stock ucas. i have stock rims with 265/70/17 bfg at they didn't rub before lift and now they do in a couple places. new rims wheel help I'm sure but would it be better to go to .85 or get new ucas? can't get new ucas for awhile. it drives fine just a little stiff and u can hear it rub on bumbs sometimes.

 

Looks like you have eibach coils. If this is the case, I believe it is not a good idea to exceed the .85" setting on the 5100s when using the eibachs.

Maybe reset the c clip to the .85 setting and see if you're still having contact with the UCA. There are numerous people running the 5100/eibach combo and 265s without issue.

drop a down a clip, and get some new uppers, you are gonna destroy those nice tires if you don't.

 

i had the toyota dealer install it and thats how they did it I'm going to go ask they to drop it down.

Yeah, I thought you were supposed to keep it at 0 with the Eibachs? I had my 5100's set at 1.75 with stock coils and it killed my tires. I would definitely drop it down.

 

Some guys run eibachs / billies at .85 , which would be almost an inch lower than where the OP is

 

if i drop it down to .85 i have to get another alignment right? it does sit a little bit front high. should toyota do it for free cause they never even asked they just did what they wanted.

If the OP had simply set the 5100s too high, should the Toytec Eibach coils hit UCA? This would mean, even with a "correct" install, the coil would hit the UCA at full suspension droop.

 

Is the UCA not being put at an extreme downward angle by the exsessive height , effectively narrowing the space for the coil ?
