    Very nice.
I love the double Din size but I don't want NAV.
I was looking at two double din Pioneer's the FH-P800BT and FH-P8000BT.
Nice units that will work with the steering wheel controls with an adapter but they're blue lit and not changeable.

    Thanks for the pic,harshest.
I'm leaning toward a double din but may go with that size if I can find a reasonably price double din unit.

yes... a metra kit you can get it in black or silver finish. was very easy to install.. uses ur factory radios mounting brackets. pretty theft proof unless they are willing to spend the time to take the truck apart.

Thanks for the orange tip on Kenwood.I researched Kenwood and found this unit.
Seems Kenwood does have the ability to change colors.10 color choices and the Crutchfield has a video on this unit that shows the orange lit that looks like stock.
    This $319 DPX503 seems like a nice unit.http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DPX503/Kenwood-DPX503.html?tp=5684

I'd have to say it's actually pretty easy. Sure it's bolted in, but plastic can snap. If the dash kit was reinforced with metal we'd start talkin' - too bad :(

found the pioneer being sold by a bunch of people on google shopping for roughly $530. sounds like a good price considering the MSRP on there site was $1000. for the navigation...is it build in like a tom tom or something or do you have to pay a extra fee for the nav?

how is the bluetooh quality on it?

    Thanks everyone.
I'm going with the Kenwood for $259.Seems like a nice unit.Good reviews at Crutchfield along with Crutchfield video review.
After thinking about it,I want a unit that has the option of changing the symbol color to match the Tacoma gauge lights. Also has the Bluetooth option and steering wheel control with adapter.
    I don't need DVD or GPS.I have a Garmin 660.
Professional install should be Monday with Metra install kit.

I may be wrong but I belive that the kenwood GPS uses the Garmin maps.

If I wanted NAV,I'd buy the system you have. That's a very nice unit and has the orange light option.:)
I don't want to get too good of a receiver. The better the receiver, the more chance it will be stolen. At least that's my thinking.Maybe not so but an expensive unit is much more desirable.
Radio thieves know model numbers in most cases.
I wasn't going to upgrade the radio,I was going to get wheels instead but I can't find wheels I really, really like.:)
I really like the TRD 16" wheels but I have 17s.So the radio it is...

If you went this way you would want to make sure that the faceplate detaches and can be used as a portable GPS. I'm not sure if all GPS decks do this or not, but it's a really good option.

    Correct

Anything double din is going to scream STEAL ME :(
The only thing you can do is make your vehicle less desirable to steal from (alarm, choice of parking locations, trunk monkeys, etc.)
