Did you notice a lot more gas in the face with the SPR? I tried a friend of mine's out and it was like breathing in from a tailpipe. And it was on a LWRC of all things.

My mistake in terms...you and DevL are correct in that the larger glass of the EoTech offers more FOV through the sight. What I had meant to say is that the bulk of the EoTech, especially the large frame around the glass, limits my vision around the optic to the point that I prefer the smaller FF. Bluntly; too much shit in my face.

The FF is not as robust as an EoTech, nor do I need it to be. My interests are mainly short range drills and getting back into 3-gun.

To me, the lo-pro block is an odd choice on a midlength rail and a midlength barrel. I'd go with a rifle length rail to get more rail space and to protect the gas block a bit more. The purpose of a lo-pro block is usually to fit under a rail, not sit out in front.

So a 9.1" rail wont cover a mid length gas tube system?

No. A mid-length rail is designed to stop behind the gas block on a mid-length barrel. If you're using a mid-length rail and a mid-length barrel it's usually because you want to run a fixed A2 frotn sight that pins to the barrel. Otherwise you might as well step up to the 12" rifle rail and cover/protect your gas block.

Dog: Aight - time to man up and start this build.

Me: Patience, dog. Need to pay off that Avid light bar and buy some lights. Then it's on. Now go get me a beer.

Dog: I'm a dog. Now go upgrade your damn iPhone 3 so you can take better photos. What is that camera, like 1 MP?

Hornady steel match ammo. Opinions? Ready Set go.

And what parts of the Gun exactly wear out faster due to steel ammo?

ive used 200 rounds of the hornady steel case and its GTG

nothing really. maybe the extractor bc steel is harder than brass but unless you shoot 1k+ rounds a month I doubt you will notice.

go to m4carbine.net and you will see that guys over there use steel case ammo too.
