    My thoughts exactly.

The claim is increased low end torque, yet I have yet to see a dynagraph at less than 3000 rpm. Not on a Toyota nor a Nissan.
There's a bunch of links, even more claims.....yet....

Again. Can someone post all the graphs from the last test?

You guys writing that if things were so good Toyota would have done it from the get go kind of makes me laugh. Have you not modified anything ever? Manufacturers spend time and money developing things to be all around good for every day use that the vehicle might be used for. From lowend to highend. Why didnt they put on headers? Why not a CAI? Why didnt they do a less restrictive exhaust? We want lowend/midrange power on purpose and that is why we are modifying the vehicle. This mod may not be for everyone. We are changing things specifically towards achieving a certain range of power. Toyota certainly could have done this, but that was not their goal. The intention of this mod from my point of view is for people who run heavy equipment, or tow trailers, high altitude driving or just want more power in the lower ranges. I'll give you an example of modifying. I lived in the mountains of Colorado at 10k in elevation and worked for a snowmobile shop. We rode snomobiles in the steep and deep snows in the Rockies. We had long tracked snowmobiles with large paddles, we ran aftermarket clutches and exhausts for more torque for climbing. You need lowend power to climb in 14 feet of powder. You lose 3% of your power for every 1000 feet in el. that you climb. The more power and torque you could get at that el. the better. Do you know how many people from the East and Midwest came to the moutains every year trying to run their 120mph lake sleds in the mountains? Tons! We dug these people out left and right and answered their questions on how to set up their sleds for the mountains. They had to change their setups to adapt to the conditions they were trying to achieve. This isnt a mod you put on if you're trying for top speed though it can improve that slightly as well. Honestly dont know why all you guys that doubt the mod keep coming back to comment on this thread just to put it down, when you dont have any proof of your claims. I am working on proving it does work. This was intended to be fun and to bring guys with a common interest together in a community of truck enthusiasts and provide a product that improves upon what they already have. It may or may not work. Maybe this mod doesnt work on this truck, but I am here working to see if it does. Its not your money im spending to develop this, though its for your benefit if it works. I could certainly say, you know what, youre' right, there is nothing to improve on this truck, Toyota made it perfect. Just because it works on the Nissan doesnt mean it will here. I understand. I was just trying to share this because it does work on my truck, and several hundreds of others.

OP, why does your spacer look so much different than the NST ones, specifically round holes vs. oval holes?

Also, how much would you be selling these for?

Couple pics from the fit test today. This truck is a manual transmission, bone stock other than lift kit. We will be using this for our dynos, once I am satisfied with the prototype dimensions.

Because the picture NST has had on their site is of the wrong spacer. It's not for the 1GR at all. Think it might be for the 1st gen motor

Hopefully the OP has truck lined up that has a manual. I am still putting mine together. If he does though, then I can bet that we show similar data.

As far as getting all of the dyno pulls posted, I am going to PowerFab tomorrow to get a catch can installed on my girl's truck. I will get a print out of all of them, as long as they still have them.

They will still only be from 3400+ though.

Thanks, I figured one had to be for the wrong motor and I've never seen the inside of the intake manifold.

This thread is about bringing to light a product, and its abilities or not. More than that even.

Realistically speaking, my first prototype piece cost $400. That was even at a discount. You factor in labor, material, and hard anodizing, it makes for a high price on a one off piece.

Make a whole bunch, and the price can go down. How much? That depends. I have no idea what NST's overhead is, nor the OP's. I don't dictate price, but in a business, you are there to make money. That will reflect final price. Not trying to sound rude.

What we did was test the principle of the mod, not the manufacture. Maybe there will be a difference in height or length or color or whatever, but the commonalities will remain the same. One thing I will say about the NST on my truck is that it helped the response time of the auto trans both on the track and on the street.

Yes, the truck we used today will be the first one we will test. It is 4x4 but it is stock and a manual transmission. I do have another guy with a 2WD that will probably help as well.

Has anyone looked into making this out of injection molded plastic? Seems it would cut the cost considerable amount.

Have to design the mold and get that built, then yes it might be cheaper.
