I actually gave him the benefit of the doubt on words that could have been typos. I.e. leaving a letter off the end, putting too many of the same letter.

    But thanks! ;)

Quite right. However, the manner in which they are conducted may be ruled unlawful or unconstitutional.

There are many things some of us may believe are leading to the long slow decline of liberty in this country. It concerns a great number of people nowadays. Some of us don't find it funny and feel very passionately about this topic.

    I appreciate your response.

    Agreed on all statements.

That whole situation with the Advil was asinine, maybe he shouldn't be doing the job. But there are cops out there who are like that, so better to protect yourself by not answering questions, etc. :)

Sweet jesus I've been asking that question all night...

All I've yet to hear is "He doesn't have to. That's the reason." He's just a prick. Completely inside the law nonetheless. But I'll never agree with how he acted. He's a complete dickhead and I still really woulda preferred they beat him to death. :)

My spelling has never been great, but what good is spelling when you don't have any common sence? I'm sure you hear the difference between book smart and street smart? So you can spell, trust me, that has no indication on intellagence. You are the one who said that because the constitution was writen befor dui check points, it has no relivance. Really? Come on. If you can figure out that it does on your own, that show just what level of problem solving capability you really have.

Actually, I said that. It was blatant sarcasm. If you had common sense, you would've recognized it. :D

Hey, were on the same side here, maybe not totally, but to some extent at least.

I never said dui check points were unlawful searches. I was saying that wire tapes without warrents were. I was show a correlation between how the constitution applies to 2 different situtation, now today, 200+ years later.

OK, seriously. I realize this is essentially a BS thread, and I'm on here because I'm working nights and not much is going on at work. I have nothing better to do at the moment. But honestly, this has been addressed more than once. :frusty: If you're feeling too lazy to go back and read, I'm definitely not expending the effort.

I was responding to thairannosaurus, not you... we are on the same side of this issue. As for how I know... years of working with some dim bulbs (not all by any means) who were out of control and did some very questionable things as police officers. I left LEO work for exactly this reason... I could not stand the hypocrisy I witnessed on a near daily basis, such as the specific targeting of individuals for absolutely no cause but for who they were, what they drove, how they looked, or of they had pissed the officer off.

I have a great respect for police officers but not all are professional, well-educated, or have the ability to act in the best interest of the community or the law. Just examine the New Orleans PD or Houston PD. Horrible reputations and corruption throughout.

Most I worked with, fortunately, were exactly the opposite... exceptional professionals with unquestionable integrity.

Actualllyyyyyy I wasn't the one who said that. And technically dude, what everyone is discussing here is book smarts. NONE of this is street smarts.. And personally, I think if you're from this country, spelling shouldn't be too difficult. "So you can spell, trust me, that has no indication on intellagence."
Come on.. You can't seriously believe that. I'm in no way trying to be a grammer nazi, but being able to spell a word correctly is a definite indication of how intelligent you are. Don't get me wrong, it's not a big one by any means. But to wanna come off like you know something, try and to correctly spell the words you're arguing over. Really helps your case

You are showing your age if you continue the immaturity... his spelling? Who cares? Being unnecessarily insulting for no other reason than to be mean is hardly mature. Was he wrong for calling you out on your age, yes... why are you continuing the attack?

He has his opinion... you have yours. Please drop the insults.
