I'm picking up a new 2012 Tacoma on Saturday. A 4 banger, 4 wheel drive access cab model. I am extremely excited for two reasons:
1.) I have always liked Tacomas and they have been my dream vehicle
2.) My 2001 Durango was absolutely falling apart only 117,000 miles in.

Don't get me wrong, the thing led a hard life but it shouldn't have $4,000 worth of engine work at that point. Plus, 13mpg was a real PITA.

Soooo, I pick up my sage green mica Taco this weekend and I can't wait to show it off. I've already read a ton of stuff on here and I'm thankful to have such a good resource.

My only planned mods are simple:
    1.) Trim mud flaps
2.) Secondary air filter removal, aftermarket air filter
3.) Bull bar w/ aux lights
4.) Trade out the 245/75R16 tires for 265/70R16 tires when the originals wear down

Welcome and congrats on the new truck. I am sure it will not fall apart at 117,000 miles - I'm willing to bet on that. Mine is 10 years old and there is not a drop of oil on the engine. I have spend $78 total in repairs over the last 10 years (one air/fuel sensor). Other than that just oil, filters, brake pads, wiper blades and tires.

are you able to confirm options for the bull bar? I have a new 2012 DC - but unsure if 2011 bars will fit - I know the nose has a slightly different shape (saw that Avid made a tweak to their 2012 offering).
