well i was talking to the dealer and he said that you had to bypass something and its not like any other headlight...i thought you could use the plug and play as long as you have the correct bulb size..what are the sizes to the head and foglight?

    Hello,
I just recently bought an '08 tacoma as well and I'm new to the site too. So far I put on some 40 series FlowMaster on her and I'm looking at an AFE cold air intake and/or a throttle body spacer but I still need to do some research. What other types of mod are you planning on doing?

    welcome huy and tribal!!!

hey tribal............good choice on the flowmaster 40, but stay away from the throttle body spacer, its a waste of money. the intake will be decent though, and you may notice some small gains along with the exhaust.

Thanks for the heads up on the throttle body spacers. I read some things online about them and so far I'm not really impressed from what I'm reading from people who have them. Any suggestions on which cold air intake to go with? I've also read that people have heard some excess "whining" under the hood from it. How bad is it really?

i have an airaid intake on my prerunner, and it doesnt really whine. of course its louder than stock because its an open intake, especially when you crank the truck up, and it gives the exhaust more tone also, but no whine.

as far as intakes, urd makes a good one, i like my airaid, afe and aem make decent ones too..........i think most of them will be ok, just dont over-oil the filter after you clean it.
