If you have an iPhone pioneer has a app radio that uses iPhone 4/4s. I have the unit and it works well. Uses the motion x gps app that cost .99 for navigation.

I just put in a Kenwood DNX-9980HD. Unit is one of the higher end units, but with Garmin NAV, Built in HD, Touchscreen, it's hard to beat. The Scosche Dash kit makes it look really clean and pretty close to factory. No buttons on the sides, but I like the cleanliness of the touch screen.

You may call 1000 insane, but I spend 3 - 5 hours a day in my truck, so to me, having HD Radio, Nav and Ipod control all in one was worth the money.. Well, that and I bought it refurbished on another site for 800. I agree it's not for everybody and like I said in my first post about it, it's top of the line and not for everyone.

Thanks for the update and photos, it looks like a nice, clean install. I am thinking of getting this unit and have a couple of questions. Is it possible to upload the 24k TOPO maps to the Garmin Nav? I also have a SiriusXM subscription so I was curious it's possible to get XM on this Kenwood

    Thanks, Chris

i think that kenwood one is better than the ottonavi one ...
yours is 350.00 more but the ottonavi one has no satellite radio... no installation... nostock and sold out...

where did you get the kenwood one...?
you think they can match the ottonavi one when they see competition...

    and installl also....

    I got one here:

    http://www.cartoys.com/products/pro...-6310-E111-8D66-001517B188A2&mr:referralID=NA

They're not going to price match on the Otto, as it is a completely different radio.

I did the install myself. Dash Kit and Wiring Harness were bought on Amazon, as was the Ipod Video Cable.

    TIPS!!

    1) buy on Amazon
    2) do not get one with dials, you need full screen at 7.00 inch size. i can't see anything on my kenwood 6180 6.25
    3) placement of antennas is key for sirius

Yeah, it took me a couple hours, but as long as you make sure you keep an eye on the dimmer wires, you should be good. That's where I ran into problems (See my post on it).

Have you had a chance to see if you can upload the 24k Maps to the Nav System?

I had the kenwood in my old F150 Lariat. Looked great and used garmin nav software. garmin has the best NAV software in my opinion. Easy to use and has everything you would need.
