I posted this back in January and haven't had a problem since - nearly 8 months later. Fingers are crossed that they continue to work well. I love having bright-ass-lights!

Never had a bulb go, however, the high lower convertor isn't working right now. Looking to get it replaced.

    thread revival!

I've gone through several ballasts and a relay so far. No problems with the bulbs thus far but everything else...yeah.

I drove around without headlights for 3 weeks. I do have HID fogs which are insanely bright and light the road better than most headlights but it's still illegal. Finally got them fixed and secured everything very tight and clean. The ballasts are sitting on foam pads, the connections are sealed watertight, the wires are all wrapped up, etc.

Hoping I can go for a while with the parts I have now. I did order a spare set of ballasts to keep on hand in case it happens again.

i have been running ddm's raptor heads n fogs for over 2 years now...
i had 1 ballast go bad after a lil more than a year...went online filled out the online form to ddm and had a new ballast shipped to me free of charge in mabye 5 days which i was suprised how fast it came......
and i have had 1 buld burn out...but i eneded up changing the color temp anyways
havent sealed anything up but have installed the ballasts in decent places....

Ballasts, like bulbs, are a limited life item. Eventually they need to be replaced.

After 9 years of running HID's I have had 2 ballasts go out on me. Sounds like you need to buy better quality HID kits.
