In Scott's defense, I do have very tough nails though.

meh....my pulleys and alternator never had any serious issues.

Wheel bearings, ball joints, LCA cam tabs/bushings, and tie rods are all wear items.

I know street queens that had those same issues at 70k same as mine......they just didn't have ALL of those issues at the same time on the same truck :D

In all seriousness RC had WAY more mud then Wharton did this weekend.

I have had several vehicles over 100,000 miles and none of them have needed a front end rebuild like that.

They weren't 05+ pussy ass Tacomas.

I fully agree submerging moving parts in mud and sand will wear them quicker. I'm just saying everyone need not fear Wharton like it's the killer of trucks that they make it out to be.

I think I have logged more miles out of anyone back there with a 05+ and so far if you take out my dumb ass swamping it the list of parts are all standard wear items. My starter was the only thing that Wharton got me on for being stupid.

I would just chalk up last weekends issues as lessons learned and remember not to make the same mistakes again.

Alignment tabs are not wear items.
This is my third with over 120K and i've never had those issues either. Only things I have replaced are brake components and shocks.

I did put an inner tie rod end on the Tacoma. I will do the wheel bearings this summer.

Cam tab bolts/bushings are a wear item IMO. David Tarantino had his seize and his truck has never been offroad.
