So, I'm in a mood right now and figured I can vent and maybe get into it with someone.

I always see posts where members are bagging on 6" DB lifts claiming they are inferior to their 3" angle-stress lifts or whatever you call them.

Well, you people are completely wrong. Lifting my truck ProComp Stage 1 was the best move I ever did. I'm not an off-road expert nor do I care to or intent to become one. I bought my truck because I always wanted a Taco and it looks great and performs great.

That being said, since lifting it, I have fallen involve with it even more and it fits my personality. I have received nothing but 100% compliments from anybody and everybody who sees it. I dropped over $5K so far this sprint and dropping another $2k+ on gears and lockers soon. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My neighbor has the same exact truck, but instead has a lil mickey-mouse spacer lift and every morning I see him checking out my rig as I drive to work.

Kudos to all you DB lifts

So for all you haters: Kiss it.

Soon as I'm done with this I'm going to head over the 3" vs 6" thread for some more action. Don't ask.

    /rant

So im sitting on my fabtech lift trying to figure out rims and tires. I get a deal on cooper tires and a few others. this is my work truck that I drive everyday for construction.
Im looking at either 17x9 or 18x9 and trying to get atleast a 34 inch tire any recomendations?

    Hey Josh -

    I have the toyos...285x70R18s...technically they are a 34.1.

They are heavy but I love the look! Check my build for some closeups

From all the tire guys I've talked to toyo mt is the quietest and longest lasting mt out there but they are heavy. They do balance really nice also, didn't need to add much weight.

I went with 295/70/18 NITTO Trail Grapplers. Couldn't be happier. Perfect size. 34.5 or whatever their site says. Fits perfectly and didn't a trim a thing. Not that noisy either given how aggressive they look.

    Horrid gas mileage however. Horrid.
