I agree and we're obviously happy about that. However, we've covered all this (being constantly aware, strangers approaching in a parking lot, etc) many times before, yet still both allowed ourselves to get caught off-guard. He was close enough to do serious damage. Not happy about that, but, because it ended well, not crying over it either.

lol God forbid you are in a crowded area like LA or most foreign countries, you'd be reaching for your weapon 24/7.

Must be a different culture. I've never carried or lived in a country/city where it is legal to carry a firearm, so I just try not to walk late at night in shitty neighborhoods with just a woman with me. Unless of course im trying to get tail.

Not shitting on the whole gun thing, just my .02.

    And Im not trolling :anonymous:

LOL..yep Story is a little crazy.. Easy big shooter not everyone is out to get you and the 2009 and 2012 look pretty close to each other wouldn't you say?

And if it was me and you are drawing down then I draw down then what? You said you got distracted and confused and didn't realize where dude was..and now your afraid. Your part of the problem -unless there is something your not telling us? What are you hiding? :)

i think you guys are missing the part where the guy is on the other side of the "lane" and scurries across to get right behind them, within "touching distance"

if someone is across the lane from me and quickly and queitly rushes me like that, if i had a weapon, my hand would have been on it too. Who does that? even to talk about the truck and simple shout of hey nice truck would have done just fine, not rushing up behind them. You never know what someones intent it, especially if they are an older couple and in a nice truck. people are crazy.

hmm did he see the front of the truck? perhaps he only saw the back and it looked like an 09 to him, but yeah someone suddenly popping behind me would get me startled too, glad you guys handled the whole situation well, it seemed that you both are responsible gun carriers and that's the most important part. glad you both are safe in the end

i already took the class, just getting paperwork ready to send it. I already have my Texas CHL. I just wanted the florida one to overlap since its good for 7 years and TX is good for only 4.

calm down there, Sally. he never said he drew his gun on the guy. He simply put his hand on it in case anything was to happen. No harm, no foul. Everyone is alright. move along now.

    (After reading the opening message)
sounds like you and the wife was planning on robbing the lowes I mean carring loaded weapon in a hardware store. You sir need to have "greater consideration for the populace at large". No "If you think otherwise, it's entirely in your own mind".

and if it was dark as you said I'm not sure if I could tell the difference between the 09 or 12

I can only base any opinions of an event on what I see. Once again, the first message in this thread does not provide a good impression. No offense was intended. The OP is entirely free to his comments or whatever, just as I'm free to make choices based on that.
