WTT/WTS my chrome bull bar. $200 cash (obo) or trade me for something. Will trade for front Bilstein 5100s, low profile toolbox, ect.

I don't have the little "skid plate" with my in Tallahassee, its in my parents garage in Jacksonville but I can get it if you really want it. I removed it so I could still have the bullbar but also have access to my tow hook. It's in good condition.

I was just pointing out the overall deal for the oil change special and filters is a good price. It is better than their normal price.

    If you don't think it's a good deal don't buy it....

My mpg is pretty consistent...I usually add a bottle every 10000 miles.

He was just pointing out that its not really a good deal...lol.

And he is right. Advanced and Autozone are really overpriced when it comes to oil and filters. Normally their syn oil is like $32 vs. $26 at walmart. So when they go on "sale" they are just lowering the price to sucker you in to buy some shit, when you can go down to walmart and get the oil for cheaper any day of the week.

And when advanced/autozone has filter/oil combos they are usualy terrible filters like STP or Fram...both of which are utter shit.

The pure ones are good filters. They filter really well, and are well made, but slow down the flow a bit because of it.

    Best filters IMO...Toyota, Mobile 1/K&N

Worst are any fram and STP. STP really sucks...they dont even have a bypass valve...avoid them.

Frams are carboard messes. I have taken apart frams before about 3k miles and there have been holes and blowouts in the filter media...bad stuff.

If i get some extra time (or if someone else has a chance) there is a whole thread on here somewhere about the differences between all filters, the try them out, take them apart, yada yada yada.

    Chris4x4 did the write up:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/te...-oil-filter-made-thailand-vs-competition.html

pretty much moral of the story: Avoid Fram and STP...Mobile one and K&N are overpriced, but good.... Amsoil filters are also very good.

But buy toyota and get the best filter bar none

I'd rather pay a couple more bucks to support the local auto parts store and avoid going to wally world. I know the guys there pretty well and have treated me right over the years.

The deal is for Mobil 1 advanced synthetic oil with a Mobil 1 extended performance filter....not some cheap "utter shit" to quote you.
With an extra couple bucks off the air filter or cabin filter it seems like a pretty good deal to me.

So if you can get a better deal at wal-mart then by all means go ahead.

I didn't post this to start a debate over what oil filter my be better than others or if wally word is a couple bucks cheaper. I'm just posting some info for those interested

    Have a nice day!!

I never said mobile 1 filters were bad...as a matter of fact I praised them . I was referencing when fram and stp filters are included in the deal.

And a local autoparts store??? Advanced auto and autozone are huge corporate conglomerates like Walmart is. Your not supporting a small business...lol...

I didn't say I was supporting a small business....you sure like to try and make a debate out of everything...lol!! They have much better customer service than wally world is what I meant...try going into wally world and find a parts guy willing to help you find a part for your vehicle.
