    I see that thing smacking down on the top of your truck if you hit a good bump that causes some frame flex or if you put any weight in it.

    It does look cool though. I would just want more reinforcement.

    crap bolted and welded together....
    Its actually above the cab .5-.75 inches is spots. Preloaded the top tube also, it held 300+lbs so far without it moving more then about .125 inches.

    Yeah I would still pad the bottom of it though. Even 75 pounds in the rack becomes over 300 pounds of downforce if you hit a good enough bump :eek:

    Oh I know. With it being preloaded that takes fear away with carrying weight. It "should've be above the cab enough, if not I can boost it up probably another .25 if it taps my roof. Only way to tell is rally around some trails. Lol

    If I do go I will probably bring the truck but it'll be on the 35s since the bead locks and 37s are too heavy to ride around on if I'm not wheeling.

    Yeah I'm guess I'm not really known for camping with other people. If the weather is right I might make an exception.
