    i don't understand all this 'israel is our greatest ally" BS... what have they ever done for us? you people buy into the media too much. i've only heard this nonesense for the last 5~8 years; the jews are all in the media. it's used, by the powers that be, to get your support to do something to Iran. israel uses us like everyone else, even spies on us (probably the first time this thought has ever crossed your mind). that being said, it is what it is - these "powers that be" are going to do what they want/feel they should do. Iran is doing the most damage to us that they can do, and that is stop selling the black stuff to other customers of our suppliers, thus increasing our price. of course, this pisses us all off and thus we all give our support to do whatever just to save a buck... i'm tired of being played, anyone else? the best thing we can do is sit back and do nothing. what's going to happen, ISRAEL AND IRAN get into a war? great, let someone else in the world fight for a change, then we can sell israel even more weapons - economic stimulus anyone? worst case, one blows the other off the face of the earth... good, i don't have to hear them bitch'n anymore

    Iran is part of OPEC....essentially all the oil goes to one source and the money is distrbuted. In Libya for example they made up close to 4% of oil to OPEC....Their oil stopped so everyone else stepped up. Iran's economyis still dependent on the sale of oil and that is based on opec. It's more than just not selling to certain countries, it's providing less to opec. During the 90's with the no fly zones and the constant tension with Hussein, we still bought oil from Iraq. Iraq was in OPEC.

    As far as Israel reaching Iran, Im not sure if they can or not. It was pretty much a leap of faith of them to hit Iraq....they dont have carriers and they would have to air to air refuel over several hostile countries. It would be very difficult. Unless they have a long range bomber I dont know about. And I cant see Iran just waking up one day and launching a Nuke into Tel Aviv. Militararly and economicaly there is nothing to gain, and it would allow us, Israel and whoever else wants to actually have an all out war in Iran and take control over all aspects of the govt.

    This has been said for years & not just from Iran, the whole damned middle east it seems, we're paying the price for an economic environment built around the availability of what used to be cheap oil...

When you stand for Liberty, Freedom and Democracy it should be for everyone in the world not just those lucky enough to be born in the USA or Canada.

    If the roles were reversed I would want help for my children and all of the others.
