I've been wanting to sell my truck because I need something more reliable. I found this truck the other day and have been thinking about it.
    http://texarkana.craigslist.org/ctd/2864689254.html

I've been offered $4,000 cash for my truck, and my parents offered to help with payments, so my payments would be in the $75-$100 range. I'm really tempted, and I'm going to look at it tomorrow to find out about mileage. I looked at it the other day just to look, and the underbody was very clean!

    I have a 2004 Prerunner Double Cab, paid $12,200...

Sounds like a pretty decent price to me...

Don't have the need for a 4x4 at the moment when all there is to do around here is go through mud, plus I will need something realiable to drive 6+ hours to tech school after I finish basic training. I figure once I find out where I'll be stationed I could start looking for another tacoma that I could start playing with.

Plus I'd be in another tacoma instead of the other choices I'm left with in this area

Mine was a 1-owner, really clean, almost new tires, and still had the window sticker in the glove box. :) And it resided in Florida all of it's life.

I figure we could get them down to $7500 minus the possible $4000 from selling my truck, it really just depends on the miles. Tacomas around here usually sell for more, so I'm worried it's high mileage. The only problem I remember with it was a dent in the top left corner of the tailgate, causing it not to shut unless you pulled the handle and then shut. The paint seemed in good condition and all the underbody looked amazing.( Not used to something looking so clean underneath from living on a dirt road most of my life)

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
I have to agree with the others, seems a little high, and even with help with payments, that is something that is over you head.
and i have been around trucks all my life, and I will say one thing if you have to do alot of driving, a extra cab is worth every penny. the single cab will get very small quick.
    just look before you leap.

We just payed $1000 to have the frame straightened, a new cv-axle installed, as well as a used steering rack and other steering components put in about 4 months ago.

Now my airbag light is on, my horn doesn't work, the steering rack needs to be replaced, I need a new cv-axle, the motor is burning oil, the whole driver-side door handle assembly needs to be replaced, I don't have a key to lock my doors, and it has 199,9XX miles on it. As well as the fact that my gas mileage is getting worse every other week....

Yeah, thanks to previous owners.... We have probably about $8,000-$10,000 in it. Payed $1500 for it, spent about $4000 fixing it, I've put about $3,000 into it, plus the $1,000 it cost to fix it after the wreck...
